LA Clippers Trade Rumors: DeAndre Jordan Done With Clippers?

LA Clippers trade rumors include DeAndre Jordan again. Jordan may leave the Clippers if the teams meeting with him in free agency can offer the right pitcher. What the team might be forced to do at that point is convince Jordan to do a sign-and-trade deal so that the franchise isn’t left empty-handed. As reported by CBS Sports on Friday (June 26), Jordan is planning to meet with the Clippers, Los Angeles Lakers, Dallas Mavericks, and Milwaukee Bucks when the NBA free agency period begins.

After being awarded a spot on the All-NBA Third Team last year, Jordan may have raised his price tag for this NBA offseason. He turned down a contract extension from the Clippers before, but that also doesn’t necessarily mean he wants to leave Los Angeles. After playing all seven years of his NBA career with one team, he may simply want to see what it is like for other teams to roll out the red carpet. Who could blame him for at least seeing what is out there in terms of contract offers.

As previously reported on the Inquisitr , there was a rumor that DeAndre Jordan and Chris Paul were in the middle of a feud. It was suggested that Paul was unhappy with Jordan and his free-throw shooting, and that Jordan was in turn unhappy with another player trying to coach him. That seemed to die down after the Clippers were eliminated from the 2015 NBA Playoffs, but it could be an underlying reason why he might want to see what the Lakers, Mavericks, and Bucks have to say.

During the 2014-15 NBA season, DeAndre Jordan averaged 11.5 points, 15.0 rebounds, and 2.2 blocks a night for the LA Clippers. It was the fourth-straight season where he didn’t miss a game, and Jordan will only be 27-years-old in the 2015-16 NBA season. The Clippers have benefited quite a bit from having him as the starting center every night, but his limits on the offensive end of the court have become pronounced in the postseason. Now the Clippers might just have to overpay him to keep him in Los Angeles.

There are going to be a lot of additional LA Clippers trade rumors during the NBA offseason, especially if DeAndre Jordan does decide to sign with another team. The Clippers have a lot of holes on the team that need to be filled, but they could do so with veteran role players who feel Chris Paul and Blake Griffin can lead them to a title.
