BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse is giving one lucky person $10,000 in gift cards if they name their newborn baby Quinoa.

According to a press release, the restaurant is running the contest now until Labor Day in celebration of two new quinoa bowls on its EnLIGHTend menu. The contest is open to any expectant parents 18 years of age or older who are legal residents of the states in which the restaurant is located.

BJ’s Restaurant will award the gift cards to the contestant whose child is legally named Quinoa, whether they or their spouse gives birth or if they choose to adopt. Whoever can prove that it is their child’s first name, according to the birth certificate, the closer to the start of the contest will be chosen as the winner. Entries will not be accepted if Quinoa is not the first name or if it’s spelled differently.

Those who don’t have children or don’t feel like naming their baby Quinoa can enter a separate contest, but they are unable to win the $10,000 gift cards. However, BJ’s Restaurant is offering a $10 coupon to those who change their first name to Quinoa on Twitter. Similar rules apply.

The restaurant’s executive vice president and chief marketing officer, Kevin Mayer, said the company wanted to go “big” with the announcement of the new items on its menu.

“We are so excited to introduce these amazing new Quinoa Bowls that we wanted to do something big, maybe even a little crazy.”

As of right now, there is no child named Quinoa, Mayer stated. But he thinks this contest may change that.

“At the end of the day, we think Quinoa could be a great baby name. And who knows? Maybe it will start a trend.”

BJ’s Restuarant is not the first company to offer a prize to someone for naming their child something unique. As the Inquisitr reported in 2011, gaming company Bethesda ran a contest for expecting parents to call their kid Dovahkiin, which means “Dragonborn” in the Elder Scrolls games. According to PC Gamer , Megan and Eric Kellermeyer were announced as the winners after they named their child Dovahkiin Tom Kellermeyer, who was born on the same day as the game’s release. The couple was awarded with a lifetime supply of games from the company.
