Kylie Jenner admitted that she has been bullied since she was just 9-years-old, and that sometimes the weight of that is overbearing. According to the Huffington Post , Kylie Jenner, 17, made the candid confession in a Snapchat Story.

“It’s kind of crazy, I have four million people watch my Snapchats. Half of you guys think I’m weird, and the other half think I’m funny. But I’ve been bullied since I’ve been 9. From the whole world, it feels like sometimes and I think that I’ve done a really great job in handling all this.”

Kylie Jenner went on to say that there are “bullies everywhere,” and that people should realize that their own opinions of themselves are the only opinions that really matter.

“There are bullies everywhere. So, this was just a little like Snapchat, to tell whoever with their own bullies, that the only opinion that ever really matters is yours and to never change.”

Kylie Jenner admitting she has been bullied wasn’t about her making people feel bad for her, either. She made it clear that this wasn’t some sort of “pity party,” but more of a supporting message to let other people know that they certainly aren’t alone. While the reality star may seem like she has everything at her fingertips, growing up in the spotlight (and simultaneously in the shadows of her older siblings) has not been easy.

According to Us Weekly , Kylie Jenner’s message was meant to “ spread love .” She is just the latest celebrity to use her fame to promote something positive. Perhaps taking a cue from her dad (Caitlyn Jenner), Kylie knows that people are always going to criticize. People are always going to have their own opinions, and sometimes those opinions are going to hurt — but you have to keep on moving on.

Kylie Jenner is still bullied from time to time today, especially over her looks. As previously reported by the Inquisitr , Kylie recently said that she’s tired of people talking about her lips . It’s something that has really bothered her, but she got herself to a point where she just doesn’t care any more.

“I feel like everyone has been talking about it for months, so I’m kind of sick of it. My pictures, I pout them out a lot. I think big lips are awesome… I don’t even care anymore. I’m like whatever, just say whatever you want,” Kylie Jenner said during an interview with E!
