It seems like Disney and the public won’t let it go when it comes to all things Frozen . The hit movie has not only inspired the hearts and minds of children and adults around the world through brilliant animation and the hit song, entitled “Let It Go,” but it has now inspired Disney to add a new ride at Disney World’s EPCOT Center.
The movie has taken off since it’s release better than any movie in recent memory, thanks largely in part to broadway star Idina Menzel’s performance of the song “Let it Go.” The ride is to be named either “ Frozen Fever ” or “Frozen Ever After” per Disney sources.

The current plan is to put the new ride in place of the 27-year-old Maelstrom water ride in the Norway area of Epcot Center’s World Showcase, according to Time.
“Visitors will be shuttled in logs through a festival in the fictional land of Arendelle from the film,” the publication further details. “Riders will watch citizens celebrate winter in the middle of summer thanks to Elsa’s magical ice-creating powers. And riders will eventually reach Elsa’s Ice Palace, where the princess will be singing—what else?—”Let It Go.”
The proposed ride brings you face to face with Elsa inside her ice castle, as she sings (you guessed it, “Let it Go!”) and casts frozen waves of magic in the air all around you. According to the Orlando Sentinel , the ride will feature many of the film’s classic songs, a finale with fireworks as you are bid farewell by Elsa, Anna, Olaf, Sven, and Kristof, and you’ll pass by Wandering Oaken’s Trading Post in the queue. The ride also features a number of cutting-edge new animatronics that will feature internal projection based face animations, much like those used on the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train.
The ride is to open to the public by the spring of 2016 to the wonderment of children everywhere, especially those who dressed as Frozen characters for Halloween and themed birthday parties across the globe. Guests will get to meet Elsa, Anna and of course, the Snowgies as they wander around EPCOT’s Norway.
You can almost hear the Ice Harvesters chanting: “Ho! Watch your step! Let it go! Ho! Watch your step! Let it go! Beautiful! Powerful! Dangerous! Cold! Ice has a magic can’t be controlled. Stronger than one, stronger than ten, stronger than a hundred men!”
