Alec Baldwin got engaged over the weekend to his 28-year-old girlfriend Hilaria Thomas.
Baldwin, who turns 54 tomorrow, proposed to Thomas over the weekend. Neither star has commented on their relationship but Baldwin’s rep confirmed the news to the Huffington Post.
Baldwin’s friend Matthew Hiltzik wrote on Twitter :
“Congrats to my longtime friend Alec Baldwin and his wonderful bride to be Hilaria Thomas. Congrats on his engagement.”
The Huffington Post reports that Thomas was born in Mallorca, Spain. She grew up in Boston and eventually moved to New York to study dance and art history at NYU. She is now a Yoga instructor and co-owner of New York’s Yoga Vida yoga studio.
The Daily Mail reports that the couple have been dating for a little over a year. This will be Thomas’ first marriage. It will be Baldwin’s second. The “30 Rock” star was previously married to Kim Basinger. They divorced in 2002.
A date for the wedding has not been set.
