Michelle Williams and Jason Segal have apparently taken their relationship to the next level. According to a source, the longtime friends have fallen hard for one another.
The source told US Weekly:
“They are smitten and very serious… Michelle hasn’t been this happy in a long time.”
Williams, who has been nominated for three Oscars, was seen taking a romantic stroll with the star of “How I Met You Mother” after the two dined at Frankie’s Spuntino in Brooklyn. The following day Segel was spotted playing with Williams’ 6-year-old daughter, Matilda.
Matilda is the daughter of Williams and the late Heath Ledger. Williams met Ledger on the set of “Brokeback Mountain” and the two dated until just a few month before the actor’s untimely death.
Segal, on the other hand, has been attached to Michelle Trachtenberg and Chloe Sevigny. His last long-term relationship, according to the New York Post , was with actress Michelle Ryan.
Segel and Williams have been friends for years. The two met through Busy Phillips, who co-starred with Segal in the cult-classic “Freaks and Geeks.” Their relationship has only recently turned romantic.
