For fans waiting patiently for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt to release, the wait just got shorter for some. CD Projekt Red finally announced when the PC version of The Witcher 3 will unlock, and to no one’s surprise, those with a digital copy will get first dibs on it before the midnight releases in their areas. The console unlock time was previously announced , as reported by the Inquisitr .

The game will unlock on all platforms at 1 am CET, or Warsaw local time, on May 19. For those grabbing their conversion charts, CDPR has provided Witcher 3 fans a guide for reference.

  • May 19 00:00 a.m. BT (London)
  • May 19 02:00 a.m. UT (Moscow)
  • May 19 08:00 a.m. JT (Tokyo)
  • May 18 04:00 p.m. PST (Los Angeles)
  • May 18 07:00 p.m. EST (New York)

Plenty of fans will be getting their hands on The Witcher 3 soon as CD Projekt Red raked in the pre-orders . Over 1 million pre-orders were placed, but that may not be including any copies purchased via Green Man Gaming , as the Witcher dev disputes their veracity .

Also, the embargo for some outlets has lifted on reviews for The Witcher 3 . While not every outlet who will review the game has received a code just yet, a few large profile sites have begun to roll out their opinions on The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt . IGN praised the game’s visuals, as well as the deep RPG mechanics that make the game “ultimately rewarding.” Kotaku gave The Witcher 3 a “Yes” recommendation, praising and critiquing both the world’s depiction of oppression in Geralt’s world. GameSpot lauds The Witcher 3 ‘s ability to balance the sheer amount of things to do, as well the vast openness and your ability to explore. Every review, however, points out the PS4’s inability to maintain the 30 frames-per-second mark, though the dips below the point are few and far between.

It should be noted that the reviews hitting the web today are all based on the PS4 version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt . No other version has made it into the hands of reviewers just yet, so for those waiting on performance analysis from the other versions would do well to wait it out.

Fans of the series have a lot to look forward to it seems with The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt . If the current reviews are anything to truly go by, this may be one of the few games in recent years to truly live up to the hype. Of course, that’s for the players to ultimately decide.
