‘Avengers: Age Of Ultron’ Cast Pumped For ‘Batman V Superman’ [Video]

The Avengers: Age of Ultron cast are promoting their upcoming blockbuster, but that doesn’t mean they are not equally pumped for the release of Batman v Superman .

Director Joss Whedon and Avengers: Age of Ultron stars Jeremy Renner and Chris Evans almost seem more excited to talk about Batman v Superman than about their own movie in an adorable interview from Yahoo Movies . This proves beyond any doubt that big movie names are just like any other fan when it comes to superheroes.

The unusual topic came up when Whedon was asked whether he had seen the Batman v Superman trailer, which was officially released on Friday. The Avengers: Age of Ultron director shared his thoughts, very enthusiastically.

“I found [the trailer for Batman v Superman ] interesting because they’re bringing up a lot of issues that we bring up in [ Avengers ] : Age of Ultron and I think it’s inevitable.

People with power, who are good, do not always agree and it makes perfect sense for me that [Batman and Superman] would fight. And besides… Batman and Superman are gonna fight! I’m so excited! I’m so excited!”

The same question was posed to Avengers: Age of Ultron cast members Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye) and Chris Evans (Captain America). Neither had had the opportunity to watch the much talked about Batman v Superman trailer yet, but had plenty to say about the movie, especially about Superman, played by Henry Cavill.

“How does anyone fight Superman?” Evans asked.

“I know, that’s what I don’t get. What are you going to do with a Bat-belt?” Renner asked.

“I feel like (Superman) would bulldoze our whole squad, they really wrote him unfairly. It’s not fair, he’s got too much.” Evans said excitedly.

The Avengers: Age of Ultron cast is clearly looking forward to watching rival Batman v Superman , which was originally slated to open in theaters on the same day as Captain America 3 , May 6, 2016. However, Warner Bros. flinched and moved their opening to March 25, 2016.

We don’t know if director Zack Snyder, Henry Cavill, and Ben Affleck (Batman) are equally excited to see Avengers: Age of Ultron as Whedon and company are, but we can assume they probably are. After all, Marvel has ruled movie theaters for a long time, and it’s time they had some competition from DC Comics, even if the cast members like their competition’s movies, as well.
