Josh Hamilton’s wife, Katie, was completely blindsided by the news of their divorce. In an April 20 interview, Josh Hamilton’s wife addressed her husband’s divorce filing , and denied accusations of infidelity.
“It came out of nowhere,” Katie told TMZ Sports . “There was no big fight or blow up. Nothing sparked it.”
As the Inquisitr previously reported, Josh Hamilton filed for divorce after 11 years of marriage and four children, ages 3 to 14, in February, around the time reports of his alleged cocaine relapse hit the web. In the weeks since, Josh Hamilton’s wife was reportedly accused of being unfaithful to her baseball star husband. However, according to the Real Housewives of Orange County ‘s newest housewife, she was never unfaithful.
“I never cheated on [Josh Hamilton]. Are you kidding me? I did my marriage the entire right way. I’ve always stood by [Josh Hamilton] and I’ll always stand by him. I support and love him now and down the road.”
According to The Dallas Morning News , Josh Hamilton’s February divorce filing included several petitions, including the ones seen below:
“Prohibit her from using the Maserati and 1972 Chevrolet Blazer in his possession; prohibit her from ‘hiding’ the children from him; prohibit her from making disparaging remarks against him or his family; prohibit someone who has an intimate relationship with her from staying in the same home as the children overnight.”
The way it stands now, Katie and Josh Hamilton have agreed to cease all communication with one another until their divorce moves forward. Josh Hamilton has also been restricted from spending time with their children unsupervised and visiting a number of their homes.
Katie and Josh Hamilton began filming scenes for The Real Housewives of Orange County several months ago, but reportedly stopped filming after Josh Hamilton’s reported relapse, which has allegedly come clean to the MLB in regard to. In March, Rumorfix confirmed the couple was no longer filming with Bravo , and claimed they may quit the series for good.
Katie is one of two new housewives on The Real Housewives of Orange County ‘s 10th season. The other new cast member, Meghan King Edmonds, also has ties to the MLB through her husband Jim Edmonds.
For more of Katie and Josh Hamilton, tune into The Real Housewives of Orange County season 10, when the series premieres on Bravo on June 1. There’s been no official word on how much of the season the couple will be seen on.
