Cissy Houston has spoken out about her granddaughter, Bobbi Kristina Brown, after her former son-in-law, Bobby Brown, tried telling people that his daughter was “awake,” and no longer on life support. According to TMZ, Whitney Houston’s mother has confirmed that her granddaughter’s condition has not changed , and that she is completely brain dead — something that will never change, according to her doctors.
Cissy asked that the public continue to send prayers their way.
“Meeting with the doctors and understanding that she can live in this condition for a lifetime truly saddens me. I have just returned from visiting my granddaughter Bobbi Kristina in the hospital and while she is no longer in a medically induced coma she has a tracheotomy and according to the doctors she has global and irreversible brain damage and remains unresponsive. We can only trust in God for a miracle at this time. Keep us in your prayers.”
Cissy Houston seems to know that Bobbi Kristina Brown will not come out of this, which is something that has been speculated for months. According to People Magazine , Bobbi Kristina was rushed to the hospital on January 31 after being found face down in a bathtub in her home. Sources say that she had been “obsessed” with the way that her mom died, and many assumed that she tried to recreate that scene.
As previously reported by the Inquisitr , Cissy has been pretty straightforward about the situation. While Bobby Brown seems to be in denial, sources say that Cissy, and much of the Houston family, have wanted to let the 22-year-old go so that she may rest in peace. While everyone is praying for a miracle , Bobbi Kristina’s prognosis isn’t good. There is very little hope left (if any at all) at this time, and based on this new information, it does not sound like Whitney and Bobby’s daughter will make it.
It is presumed that Bobby Brown is the one that will need to make that decision, and it doesn’t seem like he will be doing that anytime soon.
