Former Myspace and reality TV star Tila Tequila was on a bender all last week, attempting to kill herself on several occasions according to her roommate who placed a 911 emergency call.
Emergency responders rushed to Tila’s home at 1:30 AM on Wednesday and Tequila was taken by ambulance to St. Joseph’s hospital in Burbank, CA where she was placed under suicide watch.
According to sources close to Tila she was in and out of consciousness at her house and after arriving at the hospital doctors determined that she was in need of immediate psychiatric help.
While Tila was released after doctors made their recommendations another 911 call was placed last night. That phone call led to police arriving at Tila’s home for a welfare check.
When officers arrived at Tila’s residence she refused to open the door, she then called 911 to find out why the police officers were at her home. The former TV star then told the dispatcher that she couldn’t open the door because she was in a wheelchair.
The officers eventually left Tila Tequila’s home and people close to her now say she is resting and attempting to recover from her long and nearly suicidal week.
Do you think doctors should have checked Tila Tequila into a mental health facility upon their recommendation that she needs immediate help? I’m not sure what the laws are in California but in my state she wouldn’t have had a say in the matter.
