Another celebrity couple is expecting!
Vanessa Minnillo and Nick Lachey are expecting their first child in early fall! According to Us Weekly , Lachey made the announcement during Monday’s episode of Live! With Kelly .
A source told the magazine that she’s 12 weeks pregnant and the 30-year-old and her husband are both thrilled and “can’t wait to meet the new little one.”
During Lachey’s television appearance he said Minnillo found out she was pregnant while she was in New York and he was in the Bahamas. “She went to the store and got a pregnancy test and it came back positive. We’re having a baby!”
The soon-to-be-dad was gushing about the news during his television appearance saying he’s looking forward to this more than anything else.
“I’ve had a chance to do a lot of great things in my career and my life but this is the one thing that, more than any other, I look forward to,” Lachey said on the show. “The fact that it’s actually here, it’s overwhelming.”
While they don’t have baby names picked out just yet, Lachey likes the name Sophia if it’s a girl.
Minnillo was snapped showing off her baby bump while on vacation in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico on Feb. 25. Lachey joked about her baby bump saying, “she looked like she had eaten a really big burrito for a while.”
Speak of food, Lachey shared that Minnillo has been craving Mexican food right now. “She could eat a burrito a day so you can imagine what our house smells like right now.”
The 37-year-old revealed back in August that he and his wife we’re doing everything they could to get pregnant. “Trust me it would make me very happy. Family is very important. It’s very important to us, and I’m sure that will be around the corner,” he said.
