Is Golden Corral open on Easter Sunday 2015? If you’re looking for a cheap buffet-style holiday meal, most of the restaurant chain’s 500 U.S. locations will be open on April 5. Stop in for breakfast, brunch, lunch or dinner, but expect a wait — Easter is a popular day to dine out, and lines are expected to be long.

According to Golden Corral’s Facebook page , hours vary by location. Most locations are open from 7:30 a.m. until 10 p.m., but it’s always a good idea to call ahead. Find a location near you by entering your zip code here . If your local Golden Corral is closed, don’t worry — there are dozens of other restaurants open on Easter .

Buffet prices also vary by location, but are typically quite wallet-friendly if you don’t have a big budget for your holiday meal. The lunch buffet is approximately $7.95, and dinner is $9.95 per person. Most locations offer discounts for young children and senior citizens.

There isn’t a specific Easter buffet menu at Golden Corral, but there will be some special holiday menu items, much like the Christmas and Thanksgiving offerings.

Expect to find spiral glazed ham, rotisserie chicken, turkey, baked fish, pot roast, and plenty of side dishes like sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, and veggies. All locations have a full salad bar and a dessert buffet that features apple pie, carrot cake, brownies, chocolate cake, and other sweet treats.

The National Restaurant Association states that more than 33 million Americans will go out to eat on Easter, with slightly more than 50 percent choosing a buffet-style restaurant like Golden Corral . Other popular buffet chains that will be serving similar fare on Easter Sunday are Home Town Buffet, Old Country Buffet, Sweet Tomatoes, and Shoney’s.

Open since 1973, Golden Corral gets rave reviews from many diners on the company’s Facebook page. The restaurant has ranked as the “Number One Grill Buffet” by Nation’s Restaurant News for 13 years in a row, despite the fact that there have been linked to outbreaks of salmonella and norovirus in the past.
