Jason Hoppy and Bethenny Frankel are reportedly at odds over The Real Housewives of New York City star’s recent interview on Watch What Happens Live .

During the interview with host Andy Cohen, Frankel spoke candidly about her failed marriage, much to her soon-to-be ex-husband’s dismay, and, as the Inquisitr reported, Frankel’s comments about her marriage to Jason Hoppy resulted in him exploring “ legal options ” against her.

On Monday, March 23, Jason Hoppy’s attorney, Bernard Clair, told ABC News that “he and his client were more than a bit surprised and troubled over the personal and private details articulated by Ms. Frankel about the marriage and its demise, and that they were exploring their legal options.”

During the Watch What Happens Live interview, Frankel didn’t name Jason Hoppy, specifically, but spoke of their brief marriage, in which she described herself as the “breadwinner,” and led fans to believe Jason Hoppy may have let fame go to his head.

“[It is hard] when the woman is the breadwinner. I think fame, attention, and money does not bring out the best in everybody. I think that money, in many ways, is the root of all evil.”

Looking back on his Watch What Happens Live interview with Frankel, Andy Cohen spoke out on Ask Andy , via a March 25 report by Radar Online , noting he was surprised she so openly discussed how her failed marriage to Jason Hoppy has turned her completely against the idea of remarrying.

“I was surprised she said she’d never get married again. I thought that was pretty… that she was so definitive about it. She said she would never get married again.”

Cohen went on to say the soon-to-be ex-wife of Jason Hoppy was a longtime friend of his, but when she’s working with Bravo, there’s no conflict of interest. Because Cohen doesn’t want to treat Frankel differently than other housewives, he claimed to have put her friendship “on the back burner” when she began filming The Real Housewives of New York City season seven.

Frankel married Jason Hoppy after meeting during production on The Real Housewives of New York City season three. After they wed, the couple, who filmed their journey to the altar on Bethenny Getting Married , began starring on Bethenny Ever After , which aired for two seasons on Bravo.

In 2012, Frankel and Jason Hoppy separated, and months later, their battle for custody of their daughter, Bryn, as well as Frankel’s Skinnygirl earnings, began.
