Zayn Malik abandoned One Direction during the group’s “On the Road Again” tour, and now Wendy Williams thinks that the band should return the favor by giving the Bradford boy the boot.
The talk show host recently decided to give Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, and Niall Horan a little business advice. According to Billboard , Wendy Williams thinks that they would be wise to ditch Zayn Malik so that they can make a little more money. After all, boy band fame is fleeting — it’s possible that the guys will be living off of their savings by the time they reach age 30.
“If you can do five-part harmony, it’s just as easy to do four-part harmony,” Williams said. “I say kick this guy out of the group because now that is more money for the rest of us, we don’t have you split money five ways.”
Wendy Williams went on to say that she doesn’t wish Zayn any ill will — she simply thinks that his band mates should help him obtain the peaceful country life with Perrie Edwards that he so desires by telling him that they don’t want to work with him anymore.
“All he wants to do is go back and live a normal life. Well then let him go on and be with Laura Ingalls. I’m just saying I appreciate people who stand in their own truth so if this is what this guy wants to do then kick him out of the band. And we don’t need to audition anybody new. Four members of the group are fine.”
However, the guys might not have to go through the trouble of kicking Zayn Malik out of One Direction. As the Inquisitr recently reported, the group’s shy guy is very eager to leave, and he’s allegedly consulted with his attorneys to see if he can get out of his contract . Even if he can’t, he won’t have to wait long to ditch One Direction for good — his contract expires at the end of the year.
Zayn Malik’s desire to ditch the group seemingly stems from rumors that he cheated on Perrie Edwards with a fan. Shortly after he was photographed holding hands with the girl, he quit One Direction’s world tour to head back home. Zayn seems to have a pretty tough time handling celebrity and scrutiny, so maybe quitting One Direction would prove to be beneficial for himself and the rest of the group — it’s not really fair for him to leave Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Niall Horan, and Louis Tomlinson high and dry in the middle of a tour. And what if Zayn repeats his disappearing act over and over again in the future? The other guys might start resenting him for doing less work while getting paid the same amount of money that they do.
Liam Payne already seems ready to write Malik off. According to the Daily Mail , Payne seriously upset some One Direction fans by sharing the tweet below. As you can see, he’s covering up Malik’s face with his hand.

There’s a lot of speculation that Zayn might walk away from One Direction for good, but he’s actually expected to rejoin the group during their March 28 performance in Cape Town, South Africa. If he doesn’t, then Directioners should probably start worrying.
