WWE News: Dolph Ziggler Talks About Roman Reigns, Says ‘I’m Better Than Him, But He’s Still Delivered’

Dolph Ziggler is one of WWE’s most popular and underutilized wrestlers, and one of the things that the WWE fans love about Ziggler is that he always speaks his mind , even when he knows his opinion won’t be very well-received by some of WWE’s top executives.

Last week, Ziggler appeared on The Buzz with Jimmy Traina , and was asked about this year’s WrestleMania main-event, specifically Roman Reigns. The “Show Off” wasn’t shy about expressing his true feelings on Reigns being in the main-event, saying that he feels like it should be him that is getting the shot at Brock Lesnar instead of Reigns.

“All of those Shield guys, who came in protected, have done nothing but deliver, in my opinion, and I am a harsh critic of everyone. I wish I could be in the main event. I feel that I am better than Roman Reigns, but you know what? He hasn’t wrestled as long as I have. And if he does anything that comes up short of delivering, I’ll be all over his case and I’ll be the first one to go on Twitter and go, ‘Yup, told you it should have been me.’”

Ziggler was one of the men that Roman Reigns had to go through in the Royal Rumble to earn his main-event spot at WrestleMania , and — once again — Ziggler wasn’t shy when talking about his role in the controversial Royal Rumble match, going as far as saying that he was “disgusted with himself.”

“I was p***ed. I was out there for a minute at the most, and I was so disgusted with myself and so disappointed with the position I was in.”

Ziggler wasn’t the only one who was disgusted with the position he was in that night, as the 17,164 WWE fans in attendance at the Wells Fargo Center were disgusted as well.

Immediately following the Royal Rumble , Dolph Ziggler — who had no WrestleMania plans at the time — challenged fellow fan-favorite Daniel Bryan to a match at WrestleMania via Twitter. Bryan accepted the challenge, however, WWE had no plans for Bryan and Ziggler to have a one-on-one match. Instead, they’ve booked both Ziggler and Bryan in a multi-man ladder match for the Intercontinental Championship, where they’ll go up against R-Truth, Bad News Barrett, Dean Ambrose, Stardust and Luke Harper. It’s also likely that Sheamus will make his return to WWE either tonight on RAW, or at WrestleMania and take part in the match.

When Ziggler challenged Bryan to a one-on-one match at WrestleMania , he claimed that the two of them would steal the show, and even though the two of them won’t have the potential show-stealing one-on-one match, the Intercontinental Championship ladder match is one of the most anticipated matches at this year’s WrestleMania , and all of the participants are promising that the match will steal the show.
