In what I feel safe in saying was the weirdest day yet for the Mitt Romney campaign the GOP Presidential hopeful who just won the Florida Primary against Newt Gingrich was glitter-bombed not one but two times, said he wasn’t concerned about the “very poor” and then sang America the Beautiful.
In the morning hours Romney told an audience “ I’m not concerned about the very poor ” it wasn’t long after that when his first glitter-bombing occurred when a gay rights activist tossed glitter at the Republican in Minnesota. Apparently the activist used an entire cup of glitter to attack Romney.
Romney tried to shoot back a quick joke but it didn’t go over well with the audience. Romney said of the glitter-bombing:
“Oh, I’ve got glitter in my hair. That’s not all that’s in my hair, I’ll tell you that. I glue it on every morning, whether I need to or not.”
A few hours later Mitt Romney was signing autographs when he was hit by another glitter-bomb.
Then following directly in the footsteps of President Obama the GOP presidential hopeful attempted to woo crowds by singing America the Beautiful , however unlike Obama he encouraged crowd participation.
