Adele was papped by The Sun last week as she snuggled up to the new love in her life, charity boss Simon Konecki. The two are vacationing at the Everglades National Park near Miami, and were snapped while walking together on a beach, and speeding along ‘gator-filled swamps on an airboat.
However, since these pics emerged, the singer has been forced to deny press speculation that her new squeeze was still technically married.
Over the weekend, gossip rags and British tabloids had reported Konecki, 36, was in the middle of a divorce from his ex Clary Fisher. Writing on her site, the 23-year-old singer spelt it out in black and white:
“This is the first and last time I will comment on the details of my relationship with Simon. Contrary to reports and headlines in the press today, Simon is divorced and has been for 4 years. Everyone in our lives separately and together wish us nothing but the best, and vice versa. These are the facts. Take care and see you all in February xx.”
Konecki is the CEO of the Drop4Drop charity , an organisation that focuses on delivering efficient clean water projects across the developing world. He and Fisher reportedly wed in the summer of 2004 and are parents to a 5-year-old daughter.
