The trial of the alleged killer of the late U.S. Navy SEAL, Chris Kyle, the subject of the movie American Sniper , begins soon in Texas, as the Inquisitr reported a few days ago. Information is coming out that suggests the suspect, Eddie Ray Routh, who is accused of killing Kyle and his friend Chad Littlefield, might be a Muslim terrorist sympathizer who might have become a convert to Islam while serving in Iraq as a prison guard at Balad Air Base. Routh is reportedly planning to plead not guilty by reason of insanity.
Jury selection has begun in Erath County, Texas, in the trial of Routh, NBC News reports , while the film about Kyle, American Sniper , has grossed almost $250 million in ticket sales and has received six Oscar nominations. Greg Abbott, the governor of Texas, signed a proclamation declaring Feb. 2 of this year “Chris Kyle Day.” The popularity of Chris Kyle and the huge success of American Sniper were raised as issues by Routh’s lawyers in their claim he would not get a fair trial in Erath County. The court rejected that argument.
The film is based on Chris Kyle’s autobiography, and ends when Kyle and Littlefield go to a gun range in Texas to meet Eddie Ray Routh, who they were told was a fellow Iraq veteran suffering PTSD who needed some help. While at the range, Routh allegedly turned the gun on the other two, murdering both Littlefield and Kyle.

“Until now, the narrative has been that Kyle had taken Routh to target practice after Routh’s mother requested the 38-year-old sniper to help Routh deal with PTSD. But once at the gun range, Routh killed Kyle,” HNGN reported about the alleged killer of American sniper Chris Kyle.
HNGN reported that, via a Freedom of Information Act request filed by The Warfighter Foundation, a report was obtained that details Routh’s records serving as a U.S. Marine in Iraq at Balad Air Base.
“Eddie Routh served one tour in Iraq in 2007, at Balad Air Base (the 2nd largest U.S. installation in Iraq), with no significant events. No combat experience. Let me say that again, he NEVER SAW COMBAT or any aspect of traumatic events associated with a combat deployment (i.e. incoming mortar or rocket fire). He never left the base, EVER,” The Warfighter Foundation stated on Facebook.
Before allegedly killing American sniper Chris Kyle, Routh had lamented the conditions in the prison where he was assigned to guard, and had allegedly come to sympathize with the Muslim terrorist prisoners he guarded.
“At the Balad Airbase prison, Routh was known to have guarded Muslim terrorists. And according to Walid Shoebat, a former radicalized Muslim terrorist and member of the PLO, who has since converted to Christianity, Routh had started to become a radical Muslim during his time over there,” HNGN reported.
Routh will soon be on trial for his alleged murder of American sniper Chris Kyle. As more information comes out, it will more clearly answer the question being asked, was American sniper Chris Kyle murdered by a Muslim terrorist sympathizer?
