Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kim Richards checked into a rehab facility to get help with her alcoholism and other substance abuse problems early in December. Richards checked out last week and her sister Kathy Hilton says that the star is doing “fabulous.”
Kathy said:
“She’s really strong right now, happy. She’s looking forward to moving on in her life.”
A friend of Kim’s told Life & Style magazine:
“Kim’s alcohol addiction along with other substance abuse problems has been obvious for quite some time. It’s really good that she’s finally getting help.”
Kim attended a Golden Globes after party at Bar 10 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, where she presumably didn’t drink, and said:
“It’s going really well. I’m feeling phenomenal.”
Kim Richards’ substance abuse problems blew up on the Real Housewives of Beverly Hill when her co-star Brandi Glanville accused Richards of being high on meth.
Glanville said:
“She’s cracked out of her [bleeping] mind…. At least I don’t do crystal meth in the bathroom all night.”
Kim Richards denied that she was doing crystal meth but other than alcohol, the exact substance abuse problems that she was treated for in rehab were not disclosed.
