Ready for more from the Suicide Squad in Arrow Season 3? There are only a handful of episodes left until they’ll be back, and there’s going to be a new member, as expected given what Oliver did with Cupid earlier this season.

As the Inquisitr previously reported, the Suicide Squad is back in Arrow Season 3 Episode 17 , “Suicidal Tendencies.” ETonline reported that Task Force X, a.k.a. the Suicide Squad, is returning , along with the head of A.R.G.U.S. Amanda Waller (Cynthia Addai-Robinson) in this episode. However, the team will look a bit different. While Deadshot (Michael Rowe) is back, Shrapnel is dead and Bronze Tiger isn’t going to be part of this mission. New member Cupid (Amy Gumenick) will be, however. Remember, at the end of Episode 7, “Drawn Back Your Bow,” Oliver turned her over to Waller to join the Suicide Squad, setting up her return back then.

That same episode is also going to be introducing the new character of corrupt politician Senator Cray (guest star Steven Culp), and ET Online provided a character breakdown of Cray, from the comics and for the TV series.

“In the John Ostrander run of the Suicide Squad comics, Joe Cray was a dirty senator who used Task Force X to advance his political standing. On ‘Arrow,’ Senator Cray will be at the center of a rescue operation in the fictional Republic of Kasnia.”

Given how popular the Suicide Squad has been on Arrow and how popular spinoffs are these days, it’s no surprise that there has been some talk about a Suicide Squad spinoff , and Michael Rowe told ComicBook.com that he’d like to see that happen.

“I would love to do this character more. That’s my problem with it, there’s so much we can do, but there’s only so much we can do on ‘Arrow.’ We can’t develop them into full capacity. I hear the buzz that goes on online and I hear people chirping around the background, stuff like that. It definitely was a possible, but I don’t know now because of the film. If it ever does happen, I’m all in, 100%, I’d love to do it. We just gotta wait, that ship is sailed for the time being, we just gotta wait and see what happens.”

Rowe also addressed the possibility of seeing the Squad on The Flash .

“I think so. Mainly because once Captain Boomerang showed up everybody’s minds went there. He [is] one of the main Rogues to Flash from the comics and he’s also in most of the Suicide Squad stuff from the comics so, you know, I think that was a little bit of a teaser to that down the road.”

Over the past few days, David Ramsey has been teasing what’s to come on Twitter with words like “surprises” and “badassery.”

On set. #Arrow surprises coming… Badassery Ensuing.

He also shared a photo of the new Suicide Squad on Instagram – himself, Lyla, Deadshot and Cupid – with the caption “Coming.”
