Yes, yes, we all know that they do things bigger in Texas than anywhere else, and while that’s no surprise to most, the world’s largest barbecue, weighing 40 tons and at a length of 75 feet, is quite a sight to behold.

Situated along Highway 290 in Brenham sits the heavyweight barbecue champion of the world, fondly know as “Undisputable Cuz,” and, as co-owner Kim Folsom shared, “It’s the world’s largest barbecue pit.”

While the barbecue itself is ventilated by seven smokestacks and has a staggering 24 doors, it is also on sale for a staggering price, $350,000, if you don’t mind, and that’s not including the low-mileage, 18-speed Peterbilt that’s hauled it around the highways for years. That’s on the market for an additional $50,000!

The “Undisputable Cuz”‘ can cook a heart-stopping four tons of meat, and the heat comes from a surprisingly small fire.

Kim Folsom described the world’s largest barbecue to the press, “It has 24 doors – 12 on this side, 12 on the other. These are your smokestacks,” he said, pointing to the top of the pit. “These are your dampers that control it.”

As well as being able to handle four tons of meat at a time, the Cuz also has an ample walk-in cooler, which has space for kegs attached to beer taps on the outside, a much-needed cool beverage to wash down all that meat.

Folsom said he acquired the pit in a business deal with its original owner, and while some people want it back on tour, he thinks it’s high-time to move on, “Some people tell me we ought to put it back on tour,” Kim Folsom said. “But I’d rather just sell it and get it gone.”

As Folsom shared, “Get me a certified check and bring it on over here and give it to me they’ll own it. I’ll take it right where they’ll need it.”
