‘Dragon Age: Inquisition’ Developer Still Hopes To Add Character Edit System, Fans Offered Free Tavern Song Downloads

Any Dragon Age: Inquisition fan that has spent time within the tavern in the player-owned keep of Skyhold will undoubtedly be familiar with the original songs that are sung by the bards of Thedas. These songs have become fan-favorites for many Dragon Age: Inquisition users since they tend to describe actions that players perform. Allowing gamers to more freely enjoy the original music of Dragon Age: Inqusition , Bioware announced from the game’s official website that they will be offering the bard’s tavern songs as free downloads for a limited time.

“We’ve received many inquiries from our fans asking where they can get these songs, and we’re thrilled that you’re enjoying them as much as we do. As our way of saying thank you for being the awesome community that you are, we’re excited to announce that for the next two weeks, you can download these songs from a desktop computer free of charge!”

Additionally, the developer wants to make it easier than ever for the more musically inclined fans of Dragon Age: Inquisition to be able to play their own renditions of the title’s tavern songs. As such, Bioware is also releasing the full sheet music for all of the bard music from Dragon Age: Inquisition .

“As an added bonus for all of you musically inclined folks, we’re also releasing the sheet music for each track. Now you can perform your own versions of these haunting tavern tunes.”

Gamers only have until February 9 to pick up their free download of Dragon Age: Inquisition tavern songs however. After that date, the music will then begin to be offered as paid download across multiply digital music distribution services. Before the commercial release of the tavern songs, Bioware wants to give Dragon Age: Inquisition users a chance to get the tracks for free as a way to say thank you to the game’s fans.

Besides free music downloads, Dragon Age: Inquisition Executive Producer Mark Darrah also told fans via Twitter that a method to allow gamers to change their character’s in-game appearance is still in the works and could possibly be available “soon.” Bioware has been looking into the feature since the release of Dragon Age: Inquisition, and still hasn’t given up on try to implement the system. The developer is also looking into adding other “quality of life” improvements to the game such as personal storage, which Bioware’s Mike Laidlaw recently commented on as reported by the Inquisitr .
