Miranda Lambert is apparently more than just a fan of Beyoncé Knowles.

The country singer recently opened up about her path to stardom, saying that she finds Beyoncé to be a great model of success in the industry.

“There have been lots of people I’ve looked to for that,” Lambert said in a Q&A with Gibson .

“It’s sort of like you take little parts from them and try to learn and apply them to your own life. One strong female artist I look up to is Beyonce. She handles herself well and has such class. As far as building an empire goes — and reinventing yourself and being true to yourself — I would say Reba McIntyre and Dolly Parton and Loretta Lynn are people I look up to most.”

Lambert certainly seems to follow Beyoncé’s example when it comes to body acceptance. Knowles has been open about her struggles with body image in the past, but appears to have overcome them and now preaches acceptance.

Lambert, too, has accepted her own body image, though she has admitted it’s a journey. Lambert spoke in the January issue of Marie Claire , talking about how she lost 20 pounds last year with some lifestyle changes, including a stricter diet and exercise regimen.

In the interview, Miranda Lambert said she grew to be a bit insecure in the spotlight.

“When you have to walk out there in front of thousands of people, it does feel good to know that your s***’s not jiggling,” she said.

“I’m just like anybody else, insecure and scared of looking bad or being criticized. But everybody’s making this big, giant thing about it. It’s way too much focus on women’s bikini photos, and I hate it.”

But Lambert added that her body or celebrity isn’t what’s important — it’s all about the music.

“Everything starts and ends with music,” she told Gibson.

“The celebrity and tabloid stuff strays away from that and turns you into a caricature sometimes. It becomes about everything but the music. Blake and I both have to bring it back around to what’s important. Without the music, we don’t have anything.”

No word on whether Miranda Lambert plans to collaborate with her musical role model, Beyoncé, any time in the future.
