During an interview with Howard Stern, Gwyneth Paltrow dished on her past loves, Ben Affleck and Brad Pitt. In the candid interview with the shock jock, everything was on the table.
The 42-year-old dated both Brad Pitt and Ben Affleck when they were in their prime (looks-wise). Paltrow was engaged to Pitt in the mid 90s, and dated Affleck from 1997 to 2000. While her father, the late director Bruce Paltrow, was “devastated” about her split from Pitt, she said her parents didn’t feel the same way about Ben.
Paltrow, who remains friendly with Affleck, said he “wasn’t in a good place in his life to have a girlfriend.” Stern had brought up an old report that Paltrow had said that he “would be better off dating a Scores stripper.”

That said, the heat wasn’t completely on Ben. Gwyneth admitted that she was “more shallow” back in her twenties, when looking for the perfect mate. It’s been well over a decade since she’s dated Ben, and both are different from the people they used to be.
Paltrow noted his maturity, and attested that to his wife Jennifer Garner .
“He settled down, and his wife is awesome!”
In fact, the actress seemed to gush about Affleck’s wife, Jennifer Garner.
“Not only is she beautiful, she’s so warm and she cooks, and she’s so into her kids. She’s hilarious… I had a girls dinner before this summer. (She’s my neighbor.) I really like her a lot.”

As for Brad Pitt, she took accountability and said the following.
“I wasn’t ready, and he was too good for me. I didn’t know what I was doing.”
Even though the couple didn’t work out, there’s no hard feelings as they are still friendly with each other.
Although Paltrow left off on good terms with both Ben Affleck and Brad Pitt, her former friend Winona Ryder is another subject entirely. Rumor has it the two fought when Paltrow grabbed the Shakespeare in Love role from Ryder. Paltrow stated that while she “hasn’t seen her in years,” the rumors of her stealing the lead role from Winona are false.
“I swear to God I did not. I’m raising my hand on the Bible.”
