Chris Brown has been reportedly blacklisted from all L.A. nightclubs, according to an exclusive report on the International Business Times . LAPD officials have asked nightclub owners to blacklist Brown from all future concerts and appearances. It seems like Chris Brown causes a scene every time he holds a performance in one of LA’s hottest nightclubs.
An LAPD official recently spoke to TMZ about the shooting. He said that it’s a “headache” for the LAPD every time Chris and his entourage shows up to a nightclub. The police know that Chris is going to cause some sort of problem, whether he’s involved or not.
“When Brown and his people show, we know what’s going to happen.”
The LAPD knows that Brown is going to get into some trouble, even if he’s just making an appearance or performing that night. The official say that he doesn’t believe that Brown himself causes trouble, but his entourage does. The LAPD believes that someone always gets hurt no matter where Brown and his entourage happens to go.
The authorities have already spoken to several LA nightclub owners about blacklisting Chris and his crew. According to TMZ, the owners won’t consider removing Chris from future performances. After all, his performances reportedly make them a lot of money. Chris is still one of the most popular R&B acts out there, controversial or not.
Five people were shot at a nightclub in San Jose, California where Brown performed in the early hours of Sunday morning, Jan. 11. Brown was holding a private birthday party and concert at the nightclub when the shooting happened. According to Albert Morales, a spokesperson for the San Jose Police Department, Brown was performing the song “Loyal” when gunshots fired following a nightclub altercation.
The San Jose Police Department told nightclub owners to increase their security. Chris performed at the Fiesta nightclub on Saturday night, according to police spokesperson Sgt. Heather Randol. She told the owner to bring in more bouncers for the Chris Brown concert. But the owners did little to prevent anything from happening. Even pat-downs for weapons and security was inconsistent at best, according to the Monterey Herald .
Randol said that security and other parts of the Chris Brown shooting are currently being investigated by the police. Large groups of people were reportedly allowed into the nightclub without a thorough search.
“We’re in the process of reviewing whether (security) was adequate and whether they took necessary precautions.”
As for Brown, he’s set to kick off his national arena tour at the end of January. Brown also has a concert scheduled for March 6 at the SAP Center in San Jose. There are currently no plans to adjust the security for that Brown show. Officials said that they need more evidence about this past weekend’s violent incident before making any changes.
“What we’ll want to find out is what actually happened and where is the responsibility, whether it was the bar, bad actors inside or the act itself,” city spokesman David Vossbrink said. “We don’t know the answers to those questions, so it would be premature to say what this might mean yet.”
