Did Dina Manzo fail to give Teresa Giudice a proper goodbye? According to a source, the Real Housewives of New Jersey star promised to be there for her friend as she entered prison, but instead, she went on vacation.
“Dina resolved to spend more time with Teresa, and what did she do immediately after this? She picked up and went to France with her daughter on a trip!” a source close to the pair told Radar Online on January 5. “While life can’t be stopped, one would think that if Dina really wanted to spend ‘more time’ with Teresa this year, she certainly would have been there for her and been around her during the most challenging week of her life.”
The source went on to claim Dina Manzo only pretended to be a close friend to Giudice, in order to better promote herself.
“By featuring Teresa in her videos, Dina is getting more notoriety for herself via Teresa’s name before Teresa heads off to jail,” the source said, noting Manzo’s recently shot video for Glam.com.
In the video, Manzo claimed one of her New Year’s resolutions was to spend more time with her friend, but the source said Manzo never really planned to be there for Giudice as she entered prison.
“Dina has always been a selfish person and this aligns with her previous behavior. She is simply a bad friend,” the source added.
However, as the Inquisitr reported last year, Dina Manzo previously claimed she’d let Giudice come to her if she was feeling like she needed a friend.
“Even when this all first happened, I didn’t run to her house,” Manzo said during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live . “I think she should be with her family. I just stand back and she’ll let me know when she wants me.”
When asked if she’d visit Giudice behind bars, Manzo said she’d do “whatever she wants.”
In October, after wrapping the sixth season of The Real Housewives of New Jersey , Manzo spoke out about her possible return to the show for the yet-to-be-confirmed seventh season.
“I know you can’t comment but can you at least say if you have any interest in returning next season?” a fan asked Manzo on Twitter.
In response, she told the fan, “NONE!”
“My soul can’t be around horrible people,” she added , according to the Inquisitr .
Dina Manzo’s daughter, Lexie, is currently in Paris with her. No word yet on a return date.
