Gigi Hadid joined pop star Selena Gomez and fellow model Kendall Jenner on a flight to Dubai to celebrate New Year’s Day a little earlier than usual. Gomez wrote on her Instagram , “Plane rides tho… #emirates”. She wrote the caption on a picture showing her and the rest of her friends partying it up during the Emirates Airlines flight. Another picture of Gomez, Hadid, and Jenner in a group hug was captioned, “Pashminas and candles under the stars”.
Hadid’s boyfriend, Australian pop star Cody Simpson, also joined the group on their trip. Hadid and Simpson were photographed arriving at LAX for their flight on the afternoon of December 27. “Dubai bound tomorrow with some mates,” Simpson tweeted the night before the trip. “New Year’s will be mental. Then a little Maldives surf action.”

The trip also proved that there’s no longer any bad blood between Gomez and Jenner. There were rumors that the two disagreed over Kylie Jenner’s “flirty” behavior with Selena’s ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber. A source tells E! News that “all is good” now, and the Dubai photographs are proof. However, it seems Bieber is being extra close with Kendall’s BFF, Hailey Baldwin, lately. Whether or not this starts off another tiff between Jenner and Gomez remains to be seen. For now, they’re having a blast in Dubai, and that’s all that matters.
This trip couldn’t come at a better time for Hadid, since she and Simpson reconciled just a month ago. The two reportedly broke up because Simpson had to focus on his career for a time, but it seems the two are clearly in love with each other.
Her reconciliation with Simpson isn’t the only good thing that happened to Gigi this year. She was also named as one of the 12 rookies in Sports Illustrated ‘s annual issue, and she became the cover girl for Schön! Magazine ‘s March issue.
Gigi Hadid is the daughter of Mohamed Hadid, a Palestinian real estate developer and former model Yolanda Foster. Her parents eventually divorced, and Yolanda married the legendary music producer David Foster. She started to focus on her modeling career when she moved to New York right after High School. Hadid signed with IMG Models back 2011, and in February of this year, she made her New York Fashion Week debut when she walked the catwalk during the Desigual show.
Aside from modeling, Gigi also appeared in music videos including the video for her boyfriend Cody Simpson’s song “Surfboard”.
