Rosie O’Donnell and Whoopi Goldberg made headlines on Thursday, Dec. 18 on The View with their epic shouting match over the difference between racism and raw ignorance. For those who missed it, things got pretty heated and of course there has been no resolve. Now, it appears Rosie has had enough of the verbal sparring matches with Whoopi.
According to Radar Online , Rosie is reportedly ready to call it quits and throw in the towel on The View . An alleged inside source reportedly shared details about Rosie’s rant about leaving the show. Needless to say, she isn’t a happy camper.
“She threatened to walk out yet again.”
If Rosie does decide to walk, unfortunately, this wouldn’t be the first time. Back in 2006, the comedian-actress had a short stint on the show, which ended in early 2007. Her reason for leaving was reportedly due to contract issues between her and the network. However, the source also alleges that Rosie recently cited problems with co-hosts in the past as well. She even went so far as to suggest “split screen filming” to avoid the possibility of future blowups.
Rosie heard several staffers talking about using a split screen if the fighting continued when taping resumed,” an insider revealed. “Rosie went absolutely ballistic, pointing out that was the reason she had quit the first time. Racism is a very serious subject, and Rosie felt that the staff of the show was trying to exploit it for ratings.”
Although Rosie feels some kind of way about the staff and show, she reportedly isn’t the only one in the awkward predicament . The source also revealed Whoopi isn’t too happy with Rosie and the two aren’t putting on heirs at all. As a matter of fact, the two can barely co-exist.
“Whoopi and Rosie aren’t even pretending to like each other on the air,” the source said. “It won’t be the last time they spar. Needless to say, the crew is looking forward to the Christmas break. Both of them are acting extremely immature.”
