Robert Downey Jr. told talk show host Jay Leno on Monday that his wife wouldn’t let him discuss specifics about their soon-t0-be born child, telling Leno “I can’t say a word” and joking that he’s “not permitted to discuss” the sex of the baby who is due in February. Apparently that secrecy wasn’t a long lasting promise.
Seconds after shrouding wife Susan’s pregnancy in mystery he then blurted out that they were having a baby boy and then the 46-year-old actorsaid “S–. I did it.”
Joking with the talk show host Downey then revealed that his pregnancy isn’t as hard on Susan as it has been on him:
“I think actually it’s been tougher on me,” he joked. “Just the hormones and the moods stuff and the nausea, and the whole thing.”
Robert Downey Jr. then said he plans to be a very involved father before putting on a prosthetic breastfeeding device and asking the audience “Who’s first? I need some practice.”
Robert has an 18-year-old son named Indio with ex-wife Deborah Falconer.
