The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kim Richards has had a rough couple of years while filming the show. She has shown the vulnerable side of her personal life, as she revealed that she had battled alcoholism and addiction to prescription pills. However, the pain doesn’t stop with Kim. This week, Kim celebrated both a happy engagement and heard some horrible news from her ex-husband.
This isn’t the first time Kim Richards’ ex-husband has battled cancer. During The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills , Richards revealed that he had cancer before but now it had spread into the brain and spine. It was heartbreaking because they learned of the news the same day that Kim was taking her daughter to look at wedding dresses.
According to a new Bravo report, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kim Richards is now revealing that she had a feeling that something was wrong with her ex-husband, Monty, who had gone to the doctors because he wasn’t feeling well.
“He went in for a check-up. He said it would be a few hours, but as I dropped him off and drove away, I got a horrible feeling. I turned the car around and headed back the doctor. He called me just a few minutes later and told me he had lung cancer. I said I knew that something wasn’t right and that I was already there,” Kim Richards reveals, adding that she remains best friends with her ex-husband.
“The words you never want to hear! And the thought of telling our daughter! Over that week we decided to have a wedding with just our immediate family, so that we could be sure that Monty would be able to walk Brooke down the aisle. It is something every little girl and every father dreams of! I was going to make sure that happened,” Richards reveals.
This illness isn’t all of the bad news Kim has been dealing with. Just a few weeks ago, her beloved dog attacked several people, and she has now given the dog away. She got this dog after coming home from treatment, so it represents a great support system for her.
According to the Inquisitr , Kim Richards is working on her friendships. She and Yolanda Foster have been getting along great after working through their issues from last season.
