According to the Daily Telegraph , Justin Bieber and Michael Jackson’s son, Prince, will be recording a Michael Jackson hit .

This doesn’t come as any big surprise, though. Justin Bieber has openly professed his admiration of Michael Jackson in the past. In an interview with Vanity Fair , Bieber refers to Jackson as being very influential.

He goes on to say, “Michael was able to reach audiences from young to old…He was so broad, everybody loved him, and that’s what my goal is – to basically make people happy, to inspire them, and to have everyone root for me.”

The article which was published back in January of 2011 was a possible foreshadowing of a recording opportunity.

What sources have shared with the Daily Telegraph is that “The Way You Make Me Feel” is one of Justin’s favorite songs, which became evident in an Instagram video that he posted in October of this year. The video went viral, receiving over 1 million likes to date.

So how did Prince, Jackson’s son become involved? Bieber and Prince were introduced by Floyd Mayweather, Jr., the famed boxer who, according to TMZ , trained Prince in the art of boxing.

Prince, who is the eldest son of Michael Jackson and Debbie Rowe, will be turning 18 in February. Although Prince is young, he is starting to make a name for himself, and he might just have a flair for show business like his father. The teen became a correspondent for Entertainment Tonight in 2013. He also appeared in 90210 that same year. Maybe he is ready to take his experience in acting and use that to follow more closely in his father’s footsteps.

Michael Jackson, who died in 2009, released his second posthumous album Xscape , which peaked at number two on the Billboard album chart. It has left some very big shoes to fill. The singer, also known as the King of Pop, sold millions of albums, toured the world, and even starred in hits such as The Wiz . After the unbelievable success of Thriller , Jackson worked on his next album, Bad , which he released on August 31, 1987. “The Way You Make Me Feel” was one of multiple number one hits from the album, and was the third track released. The video, just as unforgettable as the song, starred model Tatiana Thumbtzen as Jackson’s love interest. The song made a lasting impact on many, including Justin Bieber.

While they are trying to keep the details hush-hush, it is said that Bieber and Prince are looking at a summer of 2015 release. What better way to honor Michael Jackson than to have his son and another pop music star pay tribute by recording one of Jackson’s greatest hits.
