Lindsay Lohan ‘s father has big news for everyone! Michael Lohan is a newly married man — for the second time that is.
According to US Weekly , Lohan 54, married Kate Major , 32, back in October. Major opened up to the magazine and stated that the two became man and wife during a ceremony in Florida last month.
“Yes, I can happily confirm that Michael and I were married last month.”
TMZ reported that the private ceremony took place on October 30 at Hillsboro Beach in Florida. The ceremony was reportedly “so private” that neither Lindsay nor Mike Jr. were even told about the event, let alone invited.
Did the lack of invitation set off any family feuds? According to TMZ , that would be a negative. Daughter Lindsay Lohan reportedly “didn’t care.” An insider for US Weekly went on to say that the lack of invitations for his two children from his first marriage to Dina Lohan wasn’t due to bad blood.
“The other kids are doing great and talk to their dad all the time! There’s no drama whatsoever!”
The wedding between Michael Lohan and Kate Major has been a long time coming. The two were first engaged back in April of 2010. The engagement was then put on hold until after Michael did a stint on Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew, according to US Weekly .
What was the motivating factor that pushed the couple to say “I do”? According to TMZ, the motivating factor was the arrival of Michael Lohan and Kate Major’s second child, who is due within the coming months. This will be the fourth child for Michael Lohan, including Lindsey and Mike Jr.
A source for US Weekly described the ceremony to the magazine, stating that it was a “beautiful, small ceremony” followed by a reception afterward.
“Kate and Michael purposely wanted it private as they await the arrival of their second child together.”
