Meghan Trainor unleashed “All About That Bass” on an unsuspecting yet soon-to-be adoring public earlier this year and has since racked up more than 281 million views on YouTube.
Again, 281 million!
By comparison, her latest video has a ways to go, but the 572,892 views “Lips Are Movin’” registered in its first day is a great start.
This time around, Meghan is less about positive body image and more about calling out her lying man. Of course, she does it in what is quickly becoming typical Meghan style — with a lot of color and cheer.
While I was certainly a fan of her first release, I think I like this one better. The video is very reminiscent of her first and features a number of subtle yet brilliant lip references.

One thing you certainly have to give Meghan Trainor — even when she’s dealing with players, she stays perky, pretty, and sweet. And while she “ain’t no size two,” that has not stopped the commenters on YouTube — who can be brutal by the way — from falling in love.
“The song isn’t half bad, but rather catchy. I honestly think Meghan is gorgeous and has a great figure. So much so that I think they should have gotten someone else to have sang ‘All About That Bass.’ Maybe someone who is actually fat? That’s just what I think though.”

Since “All About That Bass” took over the world, there have been numerous parodies and homages created by content creators from all over the web. We’ve even featured some here — most recently the “All About That Baste” Turkey Day salute and before that this swanky jazz version that happens to be the second best version of the song, period.
Still, you can only hear something so many times before it gets played out, and “Lips Are Movin’” arrived just in the nick of time.
