The Barden Bellas from Pitch Perfect 2 have arrived! Although the musical sequel comes out in theaters on May 15, Anna Kendrick, Rebel Wilson, and Brittany Snow struck their best pose for the cover of Entertainment Weekly .
In the feature, the magazine gets all the scoop about how it feels for the cast to return for a sequel after their first film, Pitch Perfect, was an unexpected hit. While the movie didn’t bank big at the box office, the film gained a huge following with DVD sales and a huge Billboard hit with star Anna Kendrick’s “Cups,” which was featured in the film. For actress Elizabeth Banks, who produced the original and is now behind the camera for the first time as the sequel’s director, it seems like a terrifying feat.
“This is the stupidest idea I’ve ever had. My first movie is this huge studio movie that a lot of people care about that also happens to be a musical with massive dance numbers. I don’t know what I was thinking.”

Going into filming, Banks is well aware of how sequels usually go. “The first film flew under the radar, and it was a gift. This time around, much higher stakes. Everybody is much more involved. As the saying goes, ‘Success has many fathers.’”

The cast are posed in a line with their backs facing the camera and the brilliant play on words “We’re back PITCHES” is used as a tag.
