Phaedra Parks may not have been in the court room when her husband Apollo Nida was sentenced for fraud, but the Real Housewives of Atlanta star denied that she was stepping out with another man.
In this week’s episode of the show, the drama between Phaedra and Apollo came to a head when he was in a courtroom to find out how long he would be behind bars.
In a preview of the episode obtained by Radar Online , Nida was heard telling a judge that he was not the hardened criminal he was made out to be.
“The charges that I plead to were wire fraud, bank fraud and mail fraud. I basically controlled shell corporations and I got caught because a co-conspirator got into a bind and decided to bring me in,” Nida said, adding, “I’m not a murderer, I’m not a child molester, I’m not the guy on the corner selling cocaine. I understand what I’ve done is illegal, it’s wrong, but it’s fixable.”
Apollo was also angry that wife Phaedra Parks was not there to support him.
“The wife and children and the women that I though was supposed to be there for me and cherish me — she’s nowhere to be found,” Nida said.
But while she made no bones about missing her husband’s sentencing, Phaedra Parks said rumors that she was cheating with a rich African businessman were far from true.
“I think it’s totally absurd to think that I cheated,” Parks said. “They’re saying that I had an affair with a man from Africa named Chocolate. Now, everybody knows that I do love a Snickers bar every once in a while, but it’s definitely not a man from Africa that I’ve ever had an affair with. It’s just absurd.”
Sources say the reports that Phaedra Parks was cheating actually arose from a mix-up , and the celebrity gossip site MediaTakeOut found that the person nicknamed “Chocolate” was not a love interest at all.
“You see, the person under the name ‘CHOCOLATE’ in Phaedra’s phone is her BEST FRIEND Monique Williams – better known as former exotic dancer ‘Whyte Chocolate.’ You see Whyte Chocolate was Phaedra’s MAID OF HONOR at her wedding… they’ve been friends for years. Whyte Chocolate was one a LEGENDARY Atlanta skripper and she’s best known for being the girl in Nelly’s TIP DRILL video – who got her booty SWIPED by Nelly’s Black Card.”
Though Phaedra Parks denied reports that she cheated, the Real Housewives of Atlanta star is reportedly moving through with plans to divorce Apollo Nida.
