A couple weds on a Southwest flight and say they chose to do so because they love to fly. According to CNN , frequent fliers Dottie Coven and Keith Stewart said that they couldn’t imagine tying the knot anywhere else but on an airplane . The couple reached out to Southwest Airlines and everything came together beautifully.
“With a band playing and balloons decorating the jetway, the happy couple and about 30 friends and family boarded Southwest Flight 4058 in Nashville for the ceremony. About 100 unsuspecting fellow passengers received an extra boarding pass inviting them to celebrate. A flower girl walking down the aisle handed out peanuts to start the ceremony, followed by an officiant using the loudspeaker to perform the marriage of Coven and Stewart.”
The couple who wed on Southwest instantly became part of the new slogan “#nonstoplove,” which represents the airlines nonstop flights between various cities. The particular flight that Coven and Stewart got married on was Southwest’s very first from Nashville to Dallas.

According to the Mail Online , everything went as planned with just a couple of minor changes . For instance, Coven read her vows from her cell phone and anyone who objected the marriage was asked to “push their flight attendant call button or forever hold their peace.”
As previously reported by the Inquisitr , Southwest has been doing a lot to promote their new look and their new motto. Just a couple of weeks ago the airline did a 72 flash sale where they dropped some of their roundtrip ticket prices to less than $100! The airline offered various flights with a steep discount and blackout days were around Christmas time. Many people took advantage of the deals, and will be taking to the skies via Southwest soon.
