Gwyneth Paltrow introduced a surprise performance by ex-husband Chris Martin and Coldplay band mate Jonny Buckland at an AIDS research gala on Wednesday. Paltrow praised her ex as the “father of the year,” and the pair have been extra friendly since the recent breakup between Martin and Jennifer Lawrence. Are Gwyneth and Chris on their way to a happy recoupling?
According to E! News , Gwyneth hosted the American Foundation for AIDS Research (AmfAR) Inspiration Gala on October 29 in Los Angeles. Paltrow sat with the night’s honoree, designer Tom Ford, and Rihanna, Rita Wilson, and Justin Timberlake. Gwyneth was openly warm about the Coldplay front man and his relationship with their children.
“He has won every award there is to be won, especially Father of the Year – which he has won consecutively since 2004. I’m speaking of Chris Martin.”
Entertainment Tonight Online captured some highlights of Paltrow hosting, including a crack at Miley Cyrus, who spent $300,000 on photographer Ryan McGinley’s print of a naked woman.
The Daily Mirror reports that Gwyneth may try to repair their relationship . Gwyneth has insisted that Chris spends a lot of family time with children Apple, 10, and Moses, 9, so that the separation does not affect them. Paltrow was even spotted having dinner with him last week at a location near their homes in LA.
“Despite being very different beasts, Chris and Gwyneth adore one another,” the Daily Mirror source reported. “Talk of officially ending their marriage is not even on the agenda. Lawyers haven’t been introduced yet. The chances of there being a happy reconciliation are very high.”
Jennifer Lawrence visited Chris on Thursday after the gala to pick up her belongings and to apologize that coverage of their breakup primarily takes her side. The Inquisitr reported on Jennifer’s jealousy over his relationship with Paltrow and their children, and may have been the reason why Lawrence called it off.
“They all have breakfast together, Gwyneth insists that they live as a family and that is something Chris wholeheartedly agrees with.He dotes on the children and hates the fact that he no longer lives in the same house as them all of the time.”
Paltrow and Martin cannot seem to stay apart. They attend movie premieres together, regularly share family duties, and only live 10 miles apart.
