Actress and singer Willow Smith released a three-song EP titled III earlier on Friday, according to Jezebel .
Perhaps the most surprising part about the release is that Willow Smith is actually giving the EP away free of charge without any strings attached whatsoever.
Fans, critics, and people who just enjoy getting free music can download the Willow Smith release for free exclusively through Google Play .
This announcement was also made on Willow Smith’s official Twitter page on Friday, along with a link.

According to Just Jared , Willow Smith’s new EP is only available “as a free download for a limited time in the US.” It was also reported that III will also be available through All Access , which is the official music streaming service for Google Play.
The three songs on the EP are:
1. 8
2. 9 (feat. SZA)
3. Flowers
The 14-year old daughter of Will and Jada Pinkett Smith is clearly going against the grain with this release, instead of following the consistent pattern of pop music or even R&B that most people might expect from her. Keep in mind that the very first song that Willow Smith released as a single was the 2010 song “Whip My Hair,” which became an international hit.
However, it was known for its catchy beat, addictive hook, and overall pop style. That basic formula seemed to work very well for Willow Smith with her first big hit. “Whip My Hair” was certified platinum in the U.S. in 2011, according to the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
Even the music video for “Whip My Hair” was a huge hit for Willow Smith, generating over 100 million views on Willow’s official VEVO channel on YouTube. One might think that Willow would simply follow the same pattern with this endeavor with hopes of repeating the same success. However, that is clearly not what she has done with III . In the four years since “Whip My Hair” was first released to the world, Willow Smith has clearly grown in a lot more ways than just physically.
That is made crystal clear in each of these three songs.
As Jezebel reports, Willow Smith “sounds like a 14-year-old girl dying to understand everything about love” in each of the three songs. Both of the first two songs on the album, “8” and “9,” sound very connected in more ways than you might think until you hear them. “Flowers” is a little more peppy in nature than the first two songs. One thing is clear: Willow Smith proves on III that she is much closer to becoming one of the most popular and powerful adult artists in the music industry than she is to being known for her “cute and catchy” days of whipping her hair back and forth.
