Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Martin have called it quits.
According to E! News , the 24-year-old actress and 37-year-old singer have ended their four-month relationship .
It did not take Jennifer Lawrence very long to start a new relationship with Chris Martin after breaking up with her former boyfriend and X-Men co-star, Nicholas Hoult. On the other hand, Chris Martin and his wife of 10 years (Gwyneth Paltrow) had officially announced their separation three months prior in March.
During the four months that Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Martin were romantically linked, they managed to keep their relationship private. Even with all of the publicity and exposure that surrounded Jennifer Lawrence after her nude photo leak in the Fappening, the Oscar-winning actress was still able to successfully keep her relationship with the Coldplay lead singer away from the public spotlight mostly.
E! Online reports that Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Martin were only photographed together once during the four months that they were together.
Everything seemed to be going well between the two of them for quite some time. For instance, Jennifer Lawrence was photographed not too long ago wearing the same red “Love” badge that is considered to be a staple item of Chris Martin’s wardrobe, according to Hollywood Life .
After dating for two months, an insider told Radar Online that Chris Martin had “fallen hard for Jen” and felt that the relationship would last .
“Chris has fallen hard for Jen, and they are having a lot of fun together. It’s happened very fast, and it’s extremely intense… Gwyneth was absolutely stunned when Chris told her he wants to introduce the kids to Jennifer… He sees this relationship going the distance.”
In the November 2014 issue of Vanity Fair , Jennifer Lawrence provided a detailed breakdown of what she is looking for in a boyfriend. For instance, she wants a boyfriend that “has the same taste in reality TV” and is “not afraid to fart.” Lawrence also mentioned that she finds “argumentative people” as being “the most annoying people on the planet,” which is why she prefers to “have just a peaceful time” with the ideal boyfriend.
The world may never know whether or not Jennifer Lawrence was able to check off those items on her list during the four months that she spent with Chris Martin — especially if she is as private about her breakup as she was about her relationship.
