Kim Kardashian has laid down the law and is saying that her daughter North West will have to work to get what she wants in life. You read that right, Kim claims that she won’t be spoiling her little girl as she grows older, nope. If she wants something, little Nori is going to have to work for it.
During an interview with London Evening Standard Magazine, Kim said that daughter North West will have to find a job and pay her own way when she is older, just as she did while growing up. According to The Huffington Post , the reality star claims that her parents never handed them anything and that she had to get a job to buy the things she wanted as she grew older.
“I saved up for this Dolce & Gabbana dress I really wanted, or like in high school these Prada shoes that my parents wouldn’t buy me,” Kardashian told ES Magazine . “And I remember they were $400, and I had to save for the entire year to get them?…?We didn’t get anything [from my parents], we had to get a job if we wanted it. So I was working in a clothing store and I would save and save.”
It doesn’t seem like little Nori will have to work too hard to get nice things. With a reality star mother and a famous rapper for a father, little Nori reportedly gets plenty of freebies. As with many babies, Nori is spoiled to a degree, but Kim claims that she is a strict mom. In a previous interview with The Daily Mail , Kim says that while she can be fun, she is also “really strict.”
“I am a strict mother. I’m really fun and playful, but I’m really strict on nap time, and sleeping in her own crib,” she said. “And maybe on weekends, [North will] come and sleep in the bed with us. But … I’m not crazy strict.”
Is the Kardashian so strict that she’s planning out North’s first job ? Of course not, but according to E! News , Kim can’t help but imagine what little Nori may do for work in the future!
“I was saying that earlier to my friends, ‘I wonder what [North’s] first job is gonna be.’ And they were like, ‘What? She’s gonna have a job?’ and I was like, ‘Are you kidding me? Of course she is,’” she said to ES Magazine . “She will have to work for what she wants.”
So what will baby Nori be when she grows up? All signs point to a career in the fashion industry, but even Kim Kardashian says “it’s too early to tell.”
