Tim Tebow was no match for Matthew Stafford and the Detroit Lions on Sunday as his come from behind victory last weekend was met by seven sacks and two turnovers as the Lions trounced the Denver Broncos 45-10 to snap a two-game skid.
Stafford dominated the Bronco’s with three touchdowns despite a sprained ankle he sustained just one week earlier. After his teams victory Stafford said:
“It’s kind of a competition to see who’s going to have a better day,” and “They’re scoring points on defense, we’re trying to light up the scoreboard. That’s when we’re at our best.”
To keep Tebow at bay the Lions rushed five or more defensive players on 55.6 percent of Tebow’s dropbacks during the first three quarters of play
When asked if he would change QBs Broncos coach John Fox revealed:
“It’s too early to say. I haven’t even taken a shower yet, let alone look at the tape,” while adding “But we’ll look at it and make changes where we see are needed. We’ve definitely got to get better.”
