Kailyn Lowry and ex-boyfriend Jo Rivera, the father of her four-year-old son, Isaac, are at odds over visitation. Although the Teen Mom 2 couple was co-parenting quite nicely during the filming of the fifth season of the MTV reality show, things have since taken a turn for the worse.
After Rivera reportedly missed his weekend visitation with Isaac, Kailyn Lowry took to Twitter where she put him on blast, slamming him for thinking he could reschedule. Although the tweet was quickly deleted, one of her followers was able to get a screenshot, which ended up on different websites.
“I’m not responsible for you missing your weekend,” Kailyn Lowry wrote in the deleted tweet, according to an October 2 report by The Stir . And as if that weren’t enough, Lowry also shared a screenshot of a text message conversation between herself and Rivera.
“I’ll be at your house tomorrow with the police,” Rivera told Lowry, according to the screenshot. “If you are not there with my son on time like the custody order says. After that I don’t care. You can suck a d**k, beat your husband, go eat another cheeseburger, or whatever the hell else you like to do on a Wednesday evening. We’ll see tomorrow…”
In response, Lowry told Rivera, “This is my weekend. You missed yours last weekend.”
While Kailyn Lowry deleted her telling tweet and screenshot just moments after it was posted, Rivera quickly got word of what she had done and tweeted, “Just because you say it doesn’t make it a fact…” Then, Lowry shot back, “It is fact. You missed it. Period.”
Kailyn Lowry and Jo Rivera split up years ago, shortly after the birth of Isaac. Since then, they have both moved on. Lowry is currently married to Javi Marroquin, and Rivera has been dating Vee Torres for a couple of years.
Earlier this year, Lowry opened up about her weight struggles, so Rivera’s “cheeseburger” comment was likely extremely hurtful. After giving birth to her second son, Lincoln, Lowry admitted to feeling “fat,” and revealed she was called “chunky monkey” during her middle school years.
Kailyn Lowry also spoke out on Twitter over the summer, criticizing herself for the size she was throughout taping.
“Watched the clip of tonight’s episode and all I can think is that I’m so glad I started working out,” she wrote to fans online . “Ya girl has been big for too long. Haha.”
