Vicki Gunvalson has released a statement following the news that her ex, Brooks Ayers, has cancer. According to People Magazine , Vicki spoke out just a few hours after Brooks’ major announcement. The Real Housewives Of Orange County kept her statement short, honest, and thoughtful.
“I am very sad about the recent diagnosis of Brooks’s cancer reoccurrence. It really puts life in perspective and makes you realize how important health, family and friends are during this time. Thank you for respecting his privacy and for all your thoughts and prayers for Brooks during this time.”
Vicki Gunvalson and Brooks Ayers are no longer dating but that doesn’t mean that his recent diagnosis doesn’t affect Vicki. Brooks was a very big part of Vicki’s life for a couple of years, so this news is scary and devastating for her too. She might not be by his side every step of the way, but releasing a tasteful statement and offering her feelings of support and encouragement was certainly the right thing for her to do.
While some people questioned the timing of Brooks’ cancer announcement — just weeks after bombshell recordings of him admitting to cheating on Vicki and getting violent with her — it does appear that he isn’t making any of this up. Of course if anyone actually found out that he faked having cancer as a way to save face, he wouldn’t be able to show his face anywhere maybe ever.
According to The Inquisitr , Brooks’ news was met with many skeptics — and people were very quick to chime in about “karma.” However, cancer is very serious and the battle is certainly something that is life altering.
Vicki Gunvalson likely found out about Brooks Ayers’ cancer in a more private way — not online like most of the world. Radar Online posted the news, which came from a (seemingly) humbled Brooks. His stage 3 cancer has been described is fast-moving.
“Life is funny sometimes. Sometimes it is not. My reality is that I have, once again, been diagnosed with a form of Non-Hodgkin lymphoma specifically diffuse large B cell lymphoma. I appreciate the prayers, support, and positive vibes from anyone who would wish to send them. Let me assure you that I am going to remain positive and continue to battle this disease vigorously with much tenacity along with seeking the appropriate medical care. Finally, please respect my family’s privacy in this matter as we walk through this challenging time.”
