Lamar Odom wants to win Khloe Kardashian back and he’s reportedly willing to make some big sacrifices to do it.
The former NBA star has been separated from Khloe for close to nine months, but with her recent split from rapper French Montana he may have an opportunity to win her back.
Sources say Lamar Odom has spent that time focusing on his own health, giving up drinking and partying and even cutting contact with his old friends who drew him into the destructive lifestyle.
“That was a dark period in his life that caused him to lose his career and Khloe. And it almost took his life and completely destroyed all those around him who loved them — even his children,” a source old HollywoodLife . “There’s no way in hell he’s about to do that again.”
“And besides,” the source adds, “he’s cut out a lot of those friends he had. He changed his number, got rid of all those janky people and started over. He’s not about that life anymore.”
Lamar Odom has reportedly put the ball in Khloe’s court, giving her space and letting her know that he’s ready to make changes for her.
“He lets her know that he’s there. That door will always be opened for Khloe and she knows that,” a second insider revealed. “At this point, Lamar realizes that he can give Khloe any and everything she wants, and that includes a child.”
Khloe Kardashian may be receptive to a reunion. She’s reportedly been dragging her heels on going through the steps to officially divorce Lamar, leading some to believe she’s keeping open the option of getting back together .
“It’s been nine months since Khloe filed for divorce from Lamar – yet the couple remains officially married,” a source told Star magazine. “Why? According to certified family and divorce attorney Kelly Chang Rickert, Lamar never responded, which could have been easily rectified had Khloe filed a default judgment. That basically means Khloe doesn’t need a response to get a divorce. Yet she hasn’t filed, Khloe could be letting the divorce sit in hopes of reconciliation.”
Lamar Odom could have more at stake than just winning back Khloe Kardashian. Sources say he has hopes of returning to the NBA, but knows he needs to be healthy and in good shape to do it.
