Jessa Duggar has a new engagement ring and she is showing it off to the world! According to Mail Online , the 19 Kids And Counting star posted a close-up of her new diamond ring , which was given to her by her beau, Ben Seewald, last month. The fifth-oldest Duggar child is the third to marry. Her older brother, Joshua is married and has children of his own. Jessa’s older sister, Jill, is married and expecting her first child.
Jessa and Ben became engaged after courting for 11 months. They have held hands but will save their first kiss for their wedding day.
“My beautiful engagement ring!.75 carat diamond – 18 karat gold band. Gorgeous!” Jessa captioned the Instagram video below.
Jessa Duggar’s engagement ring is lovely — very simple and dainty. Although she is only 21-years-old (fiance Ben is 19), she feels as though she is ready for marriage. In fact, her wedding isn’t that far away. As previously reported by The Inquisitr , Jessa and Ben are planning to get married in November. The reason for the speedy wedding? Some say it’s because the two don’t want to fall to temptation.
According to People Magazine , Ben Seewald recently opened up about the big day … and he says that he and Jessa are just about done planning.
“We have most of our planning done. When you’re planning a wedding, you can make it complicated, or make it simple and we are trying to make ours simple. There are some things that have to be done right before the wedding, but for the most part, we’re ready.”
Jessa Duggar will be adding to her engagement ring with a wedding band on Nov. 1. Jessa already has her wedding dress selected — she says that it was the second one that she tried on — and all of the bridesmaid’s gowns have also been picked out.
Even though Jessa and Ben are engaged, the two still have to go out with a chaperone (usually one of Jessa’s sisters), but they don’t seem to mind at all.
“We don’t have trouble finding chaperones. If we’re going out to a restaurant, we make sure they get a special dessert and have a fun time, too. We take good care of them.”
Surely Jessa and Ben cannot wait to be married so that they can see where their new journey leads them. Will Jessa have some baby news in the coming months? Probably.
