Wayne Rogers Calls Fox Contributor A ‘Moron,’ Tells Her To ‘Shut Up’ During Live Debate

There’s nothing quite as entertaining as watching two people lose it on TV during a serious news debate. It’s something that only happens rarely, but when it does, and the debate is live, there is nothing more gripping for viewers.

The excitement took place during Saturday’s Fox News’ edition of Cashin’ In, hosted by Eric Bolling. He was speaking with his guests about the idea of negotiating with ISIS for the return of American hostages held by them.

The Examiner reported yesterday that among the four guests on the show debating the issue was frequent Fox News contributor Michelle Fields , who was joined by actor Wayne Rogers, from M*A*S*H, for what turned out to be a bit of dust-up.

The topic of discussion was a controversial one anyway, but when you put four guests with such diverse opinions against each other, sparks are going to fly.

When Rogers was asked if he supported paying a ransom for the release of hostages, he said: “All you do when you do that is encourage them to do more kidnappings.” The conversation moved along nicely as Fields agreed with Rogers, and added that, “We need to show these terrorists that when they kidnap an American it does not result in a monetary compensation, it results in swift retaliation.”

So far so good — but then things took a turn for the worse.

When Bolling brought up President Obama’s recent swap of five Gitmo detainees for POW. Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl, he asked Rogers and Fields what the difference was between exchanging prisoners from Guantanamo Bay, and paying a financial ransom.

As you can see for yourself, during the heated exchange Rogers lost it at one point towards the end of the clip, threw his papers violently at the camera and shouted, with a vein popping in forehead:

“Let me finish, for God’s sake! Will you shut up? What is the matter with you? Why do you have to talk all the time? “You’re a moron because you talk too much and you don’t think through it.”

Things calmed down a little after that as the segment wound down, but it was totally hysterical to see Wayne Rogers lose it so badly with poor Michelle Fields, who caught the bad end when she was called names and insulted live on TV.
