Popular CNN anchor and expert rubble-climber Anderson Cooper has weighed in on the soon to be off the air TV mom Kate Gosselin and a recent TV outburst the mom of eight had on one of her show’s final episodes .
Cooper, who usually covers weightier issues such as natural disasters and politics, had a bit of a go at Gosselin after the notoriously hard to please former Mrs. Jon verbally abused the clan’s nanny for not reserving a piece of pizza for her bodyguard Steve during a cross-country trip. The silver fox skewed Gosselin on the “RidicuList” section of his show, admonishing Gosselin for infantilizing the grown man:
“Middle-aged bodyguards can get pretty cranky if their routine is thrown off: You know, lunch, juice box, binkie nap… It is a cautionary tale. If you somehow, against all odds, find a woman who’s willing to help you take eight kids on a cross-country road trip, for goodness sake, let her divide the pizza any way she wants.”
During the clip, Gosselin also goes off on her kids, demanding that they “eat salads” and save the final slice of pizza for Steve. When one of the eight obediently presents Steve with the slice, Gosselin blows her top again, screaming, “That’s disgusting! Why didn’t you wrap it in foil?”
Not surprisingly, the nanny soon vacated her position in tears, unable to tolerate Kate’s nitpicking for any longer and leaving the now-unemployed megamom to care for Cara, Mady, Alexis, Hannah, Aaden, Collin, Leah and Joel on her own. Cooper won’t have to be bothered by Kate’s temper on TV for much longer- the reality show star and her massive brood are departing the airwaves later this month.
