Orlando Bloom attended Comic-Con in direct support of The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies , but last night it looked as if dwarves and dragons were the furthest things from his mind.
While sipping Patron XO tequila, the ever-dashing English actor Orlando Bloom welcomed Nina Dobrev to his table with a smile. The two ridiculously beautiful people sat and “talked closely” at the Playboy party for the A&E show Bates Motel at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, according to the New York Daily News.
Orlando Bloom is recently single after separating from supermodel Amanda Kerr last October. Dobrev, star of the Vampire Diaries , is apparently single now as well; she recently split with co-star Ian Somerhalder.
Dobrev and Bloom left the party together. She and Orlando were spotted well after midnight at the uber-exclusive Nerd HQ.
According to a snitch working for the Daily News:
“Bloom and Dobrev were dancing very closely, flirting, laughing and whispering in each others ears. Orlando is usually reserved, but he had his hands around her waist and he was dancing with her very closely, at one point I really thought they were going to kiss.”
Orlando Bloom has been hanging at Comic-Con with the likes of Benedict Cumberbatch, Evangeline Lily, Elijah Wood, Cate Blanchett, Lee Pace, Luke Evans, Andy Serkis, and other Hobbit alums.
Bloom’s director-pal, Peter Jackson, stated at a panel at Comic-Con that fans may get to see never before used Lord of the Rings footage included in the final Hobbit film, The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies , reports JustJared.com.
For her part, Dobrev seems to be making quite at a splash at this year’s Comic-Con. Only yesterday, the Inquisitr reported that the Vampire Diaries star was caught kissing BabyDaddy star Derek Theler at the same party where her old flame, Ian Somerhalder was making out with his new girl, Nikki Reed. It was questioned as to whether or not Dobrev’s actions were an attempt to make Somerhalder jealous, and now it seems that if Dobrev was hanging on Orlando Bloom the very next night, those assumptions were correct.
While at the Playboy party, Nina Debrov wasn’t only posing for pictures with Orlando Bloom as she was also taking pictures with late night host, Seth Meyers.
After the Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies, Orlando Bloom’s next film will be Digging for Fire , a love story about the pleasures and pains of building a family with someone.
