A source tells the British publication:
“They have been in contact by phone. Harry likes to keep in touch with his old girlfriends and he knows Caroline is fun and discreet.”
The insider shares that Caroline, a TV presenter, had a brief romance that ended in 2009. Harry and Chelsy Davy had simmered things down in their relationship by that point.
Flack is reportedly involved with boyfriend Jack Street, a music manager. How does he feel about dating the ex of a prince who still keeps in contact with her former flame? She was seen with Jack a few weeks ago in Glastonbury, so it must not be a big deal. If Caroline and Harry really are communicating, it could lean more in the “friends” department for them both.
The Daily Mail adds this interesting bit of information about what the source observed in Caroline when Prince Harry was mentioned:

Talking with Cosmopolitan magazine, Caroline discussed the difference between romance and friendship. She expresses this about Jack Street:
“I always say to Jack, ‘We are lovers, not best friends.’”
She agrees with the notion of keeping romance alive while in a serious relationship. She notes in the interview:
“You have to make an effort; go on dates… You’ve got to keep the mystery.”
The U.K.’s Unreality TV reports that Flack, a former Xtra Factor host, has dated another famous man — Harry Styles of One Direction. It’s a funny coincidence that both men are named “Harry.”
Harry and Cressida Bonas split in April after dating for two years. A flurry of reports came out not long after that Cressida was seeking an A-list boyfriend in Hollywood after landing a movie role. Cressida has allegedly “partnered” with Princess Beatrice — who has Hollywood connections — to find the right man.
